Subject:   Saturday 10th Montevecchia Hash

SATURDAY HASH - MONTEVECCHIA

 In spite of rumours to the contrary thereis a Milan hash this Saturday.  Some
 of the rabble will be down in Rome (spit) for the Nash Hash, but for the elite
 who remain we have chosen a lovely spot for an old style RMBH3 Saturday Hash.

 Date:     Saturday 10th September 1999
 Time      5.00 pm
 Location: Montevecchia (MI)
 Hare:     IRON BUM
 Price:    Run Fee ITL5000[CHF3], meal, (info to follow)

 Montevecchia is a beautiful location, first visited by RMBH3 way back in 1991.
 A hilltop village surrounded by vineyards, (the last remaining vineyards in
 the Milan Province) with a fine basilica and a superb view of Milan. Iron Bum
 has promised us a beer stop in a traditional Baita in the vineyards serving
 its own wine ,cheese and salami. The local restaurants are famous and we can
 expect a wonderful hash meal.

 Directions:
   1) Get a map
   2) From Milan, take the tangenziale Est, Head North towards Venice but don't
      turn onto the A4 Autostrada. Keep going straight towards Vimercate. You
      will bypass Vimercate on the new underpass.
   3) take care to follow your map from here on as these directions are based
      on my memory, before the new road was complete. here goes; You should
      join the State Highway to Lecco somewhere just past Usmate.  Look for a
      turning left (assuming you are still headed North) to Missaglia and
      Montevecchia. Just before you reach Missaglia you turn right as if to go
      up the hill to Montevecchia. You can see the church on the hilltop on
      your right.  Immediately after the turn you should see an Irish Pub on
      your right.  Park and meet in the car park of the Pub. (NB DO NOT GO UP
      THE HILL TO MONTEVECCHIA VILLAGE)

 Restaurant:
  A separate flyer will be sent out tomorrow giving the address and phone
  number of the restaurant, so you shouldn't get lost.
