Montalto is in the Pavese wine producing area. What more could any hasher
want?? A beautiful run location, good wine at dinner and the hares have
also organised wine tasting after the run! Meet in the car park at 3.30 pm
(NB, the start time is earlier to ensure that we finish in the daylight.)
after a pleasant run/walk we will have the circle in the car park and then
some wine tasting with the usual nibbles. If you want to buy some wine the
owner will deliver it to Milan if you wish. From the wine tasting it is a
short (2/3 minute) drive to the trattoria. The meal starts at about 6.30 pm.

Directions
From Milan
Head South on the A7 to Genova. Exit Casei Gerola. Exit toll road bends
left at T junction, turn LEFT (follow signs for Voghera). Keep straight
until you come to a T Junction, turn LEFT (you are now following signs for
Casteggio, if not you are lost). You should then come to a roundabout. keep
following signs for Casteggio, round to the left, 2nd last exit. Drive
through Casteggio until you pass the town square (on your right). At the
traffic lights just after the square turn RIGHT. (you are now following
signs for Montalto P.) After a few 100 meters you should be going uphill.
Drive straight through Montalto (as you pass the centre the trattoria is on
your left) and as you leave town a sign on the RIGHT side reads "C Del G"
Take this turn and follow the track (keeping left) to the car park of the
azienda. Park on the LEFT hand side.
