From: Duff Robin < rmd@msoft.it > Date: Wed Mar 31 16:14:14 1999 Subject: BIBIONE 99 (Flier 1) Please read the first 2 paras before replying ################################################################## BIBIONE #8 29 April to 2 May 1999 STOP PRESS! We are still waiting for the Bibione Accommodation Association to declare that last year's prices will be repeated. Our Agency thinks this will happen within a few days so cannot quote last year's prices until then. That means we cannot either, but in view of time marching on we have decided to put something out on the basis of last year and update you as soon as possible. The main reason is that the Bibione Podisti Committee has decided not to hold the Fun Run this year although a similar one will be staged just along the road at nearby Lugugnana. There is no accommodation at Lugugnana however and Bibione would offer that. With no Bibione podisti on their backs it seems to be happening, but slowly. The registration form will come out as soon as we have confirmation of the prices … hopefully this week. To give us an idea of interest return this mail if you are thinking to come so we can ensure we have provisionally booked enough appartments from the point the agency informs us of pricing. THE PRICING BELOW IS PROVISIONAL as mentioned above so we won't firm up your booking until you confirm using the REGISTRATION form which will follow shortly - RMBH3 Mis-Man ################################################################# REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT Total price depends on type of accommodation. Single, double or three or more persons sharing. The cost for the flats is fixed and is for 3 nights (we will try to include the Wednesday night in the price for early arrivals). We will negotiate for those staying extra nights with the agency. Total Price Single Lit 195,000 per person Double Lit 160,000 per person 3+ Share Lit 150,000 per person Children under 12 requiring beds are half price, babies not requiring beds are free. Price includes accommodation for the whole weekend in self-catering apartments, T Shirt, run fees for two hashes, registration, for fun run, Full Scottish breakfast on Saturday, Barbecue meal after hash on Saturday, and unlimited hash wine and beer for the weekend. PRICE Does not include transport, drinks or food in the Marquee or any other meals. When we are away from Bibione cheap fixed price meals will be arranged as shown in the programme below. Book these on your registration form and you pay your share after the meal. BOOKING Just fill in the registration form (WHEN YOU ARE SENT IT) and send it back to the RMBH3 committee members shown. If you register by E Mail you should get a confirmation within 2 working days. Any other method you will get a standard confirmation about 2 weeks before the hash. PAYMENT Money is collected by Hash Cash at breakfast on Saturday. No deposits and no price increase for delays. We trust you to be responsible. There are limited places so please cancel your booking if you aren't coming. Bookings not cancelled by two weeks before are assumed confirmed and we may ask you to cough up for your accommodation, if we can't fill it from the waiting list and we are not able to get out of paying for it. Late decision to come means you risk not staying in the main appartment block. LIMITED NUMBERS Numbers are limited (mainly from a catering point of view), first come first serve, so book early. Use the form because verbal bookings to RMBH3 committee are usually forgotten when the next beer is consumed (i.e. immediately). DISCLAIMER NB All hashers running with RMBH3 do so at their own risk. We are not responsible for accidents, travel arrangments or any other misfortunes that may arise. In fact we are all totally irresponsible and we are CERTAINLY not insured! HOW TO GET THERE / JOINING INSTRUCTIONS Bibione Car- Take the motorway to Venice. At the Venice paytoll follow signs to Trieste. DO NOT take the first sign for Bibione as this is a slow road. It is better to turn off at the sign for LATISANA. After the paytoll go right towards Latisana. Go through Latisana and follow signs to Bibione. There is only one junction where you do not go straight, and this is a left turn, clearly marked for Bibione. You should reach Bibione less than an hour after the Venice paytoll, in reasonable traffic. When you arrive at Bibione there are two roundabouts. You should always go straight, following Corso del Sole, until you reach Piazzale Zenith, a big Piazza on the sea-front. On Thursday evening the hash will meet in the Marquee in Piazzale Zenith for key collection. We are staying in the Marina Grande apartments along the sea-front about 300 metres from Piazzale Zenith. This is a big grey block with garage spaces underneath and surrounded by a fenced garden opening onto Via Lira. The entrance for cars is off Via Venere which is the road parallel to the coast before Piazzale Zenith. See the Map. We will leave contact details and messages on a notice board by the lift nearest the sea in the Marina Grande. Train-There are trains from Venice to Latisana. We can organise lifts from Latisana to Bibione and we may be able to organise lifts from Milan or Venice airport if we have lots of prior notice. ACCOMODATION All accommodation is in good quality self catering flats. Mono (one room) flats have two beds, Bi (two rooms) have 3/4 beds, Tri (three rooms) have 5/6 beds. On your application please just say if you want to share and with whom (if you have a preference). We will allocate everyone the best accommodation we can. Couples and families get preference. You will pay the lower of what you requested and what you get. Flats are fully equipped except for sheets, pillow-cases, towels and toilet paper. They have no heating because it is usually hot. If the forecast is for cold weather, you might want to bring extra blankets etc. Alternatively you can trust the RA, he's never failed yet, so don't forget your swimming costume! Sunday, 2nd May. We are awaiting full run info but should take the following form :- 9.00 am. Start of fun run. There are runs of 6,12 and 21 km to choose from. The hash usually takes the 12 km run. (Don't be put off by the distance, its not hard, and the trail has food and wine stops, music, hills vineyards and forest. Its worth it!) Your registration fee for the hash includes registration for this run. The Hash is normally presented with wine and goodies because we are a big group and we come from so far away. (Malaysia of course! Don't forget it!) And we say "Thank you" by singing Sweet Chariot on stage! The Hash from Malaysia has become very much part of the scene and the organisers expect us to be there in force, dressed in traditional costume and making plenty of noise. So bring out you Hash Horns, R.A. s in ceremonial gear please, and ALL RMBH3 Pith Helmets on show at the same time for once!!! After to eat a light lunch, laze on the beach and depart, for those who have to work on Monday. Monday 3 May Extra days can be negotiated with the Agency. REGISTRATION FORM WILL FOLLOW ASAP. Basically it will: - confirm the all inclusive price for the weekend - ask you when you are coming - ask you to detail the type of accommodation and with whom you want to share - ask you if you want to go wine tasting and have lunch after - ask you to agree to the disclaimer ON-ON RMBH3 Mis-Man
